Our online shop opened

Our online shop opened

In light of the global pandemic we closed our eat-in facilities and remodelled both sites into retail and take away businesses as well as creating our new online shop which allowed us to continue trading throughout the series of ‘lockdowns’.

2019

We moved to our current Bakery

We moved to our current Bakery

We moved to our current Bakery at Indian Queens, more than quadrupling our space again, and opened our second Café & shop.

2016

Opening of our first café & shop on the Roseland

We opened our first café & shop on the Roseland, our spiritual home which quickly became a hub for locals and visitors alike.

2013

Second bakery move

Saw us move to our second bakery, tripling the space to 1500 sqft to include our first bakery shop and coffee counter.

The beginning

The beginning

Da Bara was founded by brothers Ben and Tim Hawkins, both long-time veterans of the hospitality and catering trade and both with a serious passion for home bread baking. Ben’s wife Michelle joined shortly after, adding cake to the offer. We started supplying our wares to a handful of farm shops and restaurants.
